On September 8, 2014, the music of William C. Wright (and Permelia Records' recording thereof) was the subject of an eight-minute segment on "Chicago Tonight," an hourly news program on local PBS station WTTW. Shot in the children's playroom of the Frank Lloyd Wright Home and Studio, the segment was framed against the backdrop of the Frank Lloyd Wright Trust's fortieth anniversary.
During the shoot, Kuang-Hao Huang (featured prominently on our recording) performed several excerpts of William Wright's works -- most likely the very first time that any of William Wright's works have been performed in Frank Lloyd Wright's Oak Park home. David Patterson was interviewed and served as talking head for the segment. The finished segment earned over four hundred Facebook "likes" (far more than the typical segment that appears on this program), and -- more important -- resulted in some additional sales of the recording!
